The DHF prayer room, "The Lovington Prayer Experience," provides a model for local prayer ministries and opportunities to pray and be prayed for.

COMMON FAQs

What will affiliation cost the local church?
There is no cost other than whatever churches wish to contribute. It does cost money to maintain our office and provide the various materials and ministries we offer, but the church is free to decide their level of support. Churches who cannot afford to contribute to Disciple Heritage Fellowship are welcome.

What about overseas missions?
We will provide the names of missionaries whom we believe are deserving of your support. Many of our churches support Gary and Judy Woods, missionaries in Tanzania; Jeff and Lucy Osborne, missionaries in Kenya; Lynn and Doris Cazier, missionaries to Kenya and Jerry and Rosanne Briscoe, missionaries to the Philippines.

Will we lose any of our autonomy through affiliation?
Absolutely not! We uphold the concept of local church autonomy.

How do we affiliate?
Normally through a vote by the church board and/or the congregation, then informing the DHF office of the decision.

How many congregations are involved with DHF?
The number changes as new churches join with us. Presently there are 72 local churches who have joined DHF, with another 150 churches involved in various ways.

Do we have to leave our present denominational affiliation in order to affiliate with DHF?
No. Many of our churches have a denominational affiliation in addition to their affiliation with us.

If you wish to be part of a group committed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, committed to Biblical authority, and committed to Christian Unity, consider affiliation with DHF.

Disciple Heritage Fellowship Pastors Association

Pastors may join by filling out and submitting a form (see link below) that gives basic information on experience, education, faith and commitment to DHF.

Membership in the Pastor's Association is for the purpose of expressing a ministerial identity beyond the local church and for identifying with the DHF movement.

Members of the Pastor's Association have access to the list of churches seeking DHF pastors and receive a discount for the DHF pastor's retreat held in conjunction with the DHF National Conference every year.

DHF is not a denomination. We do not screen candidates except on the basis of their own statements. Membership on the DHF Pastor's Association is voluntary and based on the statements of the candidates themselves. DHF does not have the resources to do background checks on its members nor does it verify claims of education and experience. We believe these are functions of the local church, especially in the search process.
